To carrying out small repairs and servicing to all manor of things. Working from a workshop located under the shadow of the Malvern Hills.

Motorsport

Being a keen motor sport enthusiast myself and competitor. Undertaking my own rally car builds and engines.
This has grown to carrying out work/preparation for my fellow clubman from the local Motorsport Clubs.

Vapour Blasting

A unique process that uses water and a medium to clean/polish the surface of old components.
Aging aluminum can be carefully blasted removing years of oxidation and crud form the porous material. Revealing original finish left by the manufacture.
Vapour blasting offers a safe process for blasting thin steel components where no heat is generated during cleaning. So no risk of heat distortion during cleaning.
Vapour blasting cleaning process offers ideal cleaning and surface preparation of small components prior being electroplated or anodising.
Not to be confused with sand blasting that is an aggressive process which the blasting medium digs in to the surface leaving an etched rough finished surface generating heat in the process.

Process steps
#1 Parts stripped down as required,
#2 Components degrease and removed of any heavy deposits,
#3 Areas masked that don't require cleaning or Blasted. Blanking bungs used to block off galleries,
#3 Components are then Vapour blasted,
#4 Parts rinsed and inspected. Further blasting carried out if required,
#5 Final rinse with water and blown off with air.
All items that have been blasted will require thorough cleaning to remove any medium left over from blasting. Especially engine components and carburettors. Items are rinsed and blown off with air after blasted by ourselves.

Parts Washing and De-greasing

Process using only hot water and biodegradable detergent products. Components are paced in machine and put through a hot chemical cleaning cycle removing grease and grime from engine components.
Idea for cleaning parts and components for inspection. Essential prior to machining or blasting. Or if your just looking to clean parts up when carrying out rebuilds.
We offer different options and levels of cleaning.

Vixen 1515 Machine

We can offer vapour blasting larger items with our Vixen 1515 machine. Which boast a 1.2 meter diameter turntable, with cabinet measuring a whopping 1.5x1.5 meter. Catering for those larger items that your average cabinet or blaster cant.

Bigger machine making those larger items easier to manoeuvre and cutting down blasting time. Increasing productivity and allowing us to reflect that in reduced cost to you the customer.� Investing in the right machine for the job, to deliver a Quality job.

Vapour Blasting Finishes.
We are able to accommodate your project needs and finishes. With our machines we can vary the finish produced. Be it a silver shiny finish for that high shine application or the more factory matte finish. Using our experience and machines to get the desired effect. Without the need to use harsh abrasives to speed up cleaning times or accommodate for lower blasting pressures that some companies use. Reducing the risk of sharp media like aluminium oxide being embedded in the blasted surface. Ensuring a safer and quality finish throughout.
Where you can have it in the Raw aluminium finish or take advantage of having a ceramic clear coat applied after being freshly blasted.

Ceramic Clear Coatings.
Now Offering a in house protective Ceramic coating to make your items maintenance free. From a gloss or matte clear coat. Using high quality Cerakote ceramic products. Offering a protective coating to prolong that just blasted finish.

Ultrasonic Cleaning.
We can offer in house Ultrasonic cleaning of components. From carburettors to cylinder heads.
Using a formulated detergent specifically cleaning carbs and distilled water in our 90ltr ultrasonic. Usually preferred method of cleaning carburettors before we then vapour blast the external of the housings. Vital step when renovating old carbs and removed those hard varnishes and debris.
